The physicality of paint and variety of applications it can have on a surface is what interests me most about the creative process. When approaching a surface I do not envision an end product. Instead, I use music as the dominant influence for my work. A list is provided at the bottom of each series with a link to the influencing song. I thrive on being in the moment, allowing each mark to respond to the one before. I work a painting until satisfied with the amount of exploration, often bringing them back from ruin or pushing them further into it.
Each series of work is named after a recently discovered moon. There is no significance in this, I just like space.
